Face 2 Face is a new befriending service on the Isle of Wight coordinated by the charity Scope.
Face 2 Face supports parents of children with disabilities at point of diagnosis, whilst trying to gain diagnosis or at any other time of crisis related to their child’s additional need.
Volunteer befrienders are parents of a disabled child themselves and have undertaken comprehensive befriender training and been thoroughly checked through references and CRB’s.
The scheme launch is being held on Wednesday June 20th from 10am – 2pm at the Riverside Centre, The Quay, Newport, IoW. All parents of children with additional needs and professionals who work with them welcome.
Free buffet lunch provided.
