Located in Carisbrooke just outside the heart of the capital, Newport, Valentino’s is now owned and managed by the second generation of the Guerrini family. The family and staff ensure that high standards of dining and service are constantly maintained. Ample parking is available in the free car park just a minute down the road opposite the Co-Op.
This friendly and popular Italian restaurant offers fine dining to suit both palette and purse. Specialities include traditional Italian fare, such as regional pasta dishes, international cuisine, including flambe dishes cooked at your table, and locally sourced produce where possible, including locally-caught fish. For dessert, Valentino’s offers a sweet trolley laden with mouth-watering, home-made Italian desserts. The wine list features mostly Italian wines that are carefully selected by patron Piero Guerrini, and boasts quality regional Italian wines from acclaimed vineyards, large and small.
The team produces freshly made food, always trying to source as much as possible locally. Some ingredients are imported from Italy, including cheeses, Italian hams and speciality products, such as funghi porcini and sundried tomatoes.
The staff at Valentino’s are helpful and friendly. They offer silver service, serving vegetables and potatoes at your table. The restaurant seats up to 80 diners. Situated on the ground floor, the main dining area is spacious, bright and inviting. An elevated dining room offers a more intimate evening or a more private dining experience for parties up to 20 people.
