JUST on the edge of Wootton, the Woodmans Arms has the best of both worlds – a loyal band of locals from the surrounding area as well as those who travel from all over the Island to visit. But as it is also on one of the tourist routes the pub picks up quite a lot of holiday trade too.

Working with their Head Chef, Michelle Stoppard, and their Assistant Chef, Adrian Searl, (who between them have almost 50 years experience) the menu has been reduced slightly so that customers do not feel too overwhelmed. New light bites include baguettes with hot fillings and paninis have already proven to be popular. The daily specials board is still available and has dishes such as beef stroganoff, chicken breast stuffed with brie & asparagus and butterfly pork steak with bacon & leek sauce.
We have something to suit everybody. Our childrens menu contains favourites such as Chicken Nuggets, Burgers, Spag Bol and Mac ‘N’ Cheese and everything on the chidrens menu is priced at £4.50. We have a senior citizens menu which is a main course and a pot of tea or coffee for £5.75 available Monday to Friday 12pm-3pm. Steak night is every Wednesday 6pm-9pm, 6oz rump steak, grilled tomato, mushrooms, peas and chips £6.50– booking is advisable.
