The Castle Inn is Newport’s oldest pub and provides a relaxed atmosphere with an excellent menu of freshly prepared dishes including fish, poultry, game, vegetarian options, daily specials and Sunday roasts.
Food is served Monday – Saturday 12 noon to 9 pm and Sunday 12-3pm and 6-9 pm.
There is a choice of sandwiches and tasty light bites, main meals, daily specials and Sunday roasts. The courtyard garden provides a lovely setting for lunch on sunny days.
The restaurant offers an excellent menu of freshly prepared dishes which use local produce wherever possible. There are options for vegetarians and special dietary requirements can be catered for.
The bar provides a relaxed atmosphere, with flagstone floor and beamed ceilings in historic surroundings, for a place to drink, meeting with friends or dine. We offer an excellent selection of real ales, ciders, premium beers and lagers, guest ales and a good selection of wines.
We love dogs and all dogs are always welcomed! Who knows, in the future a doggy menu might even be on the cards…..
A private function room, the Stable Bar, is available for hire. With its own access and bar it makes a great venue for parties and meetings. There is also a skittle alley which can be made available.
